Pune here I come..

Started my trip... Part II

After all the fuss and drama... Finally at 7:45pm (8 May) I was told, I will not be able to make it for my connecting flight from Munich.... So my tickets were rebooked for today 9th May

And the lady who rebooked told me that I bet we will be delayed tomorrow so let's book a ticket with 6hrs of transit... I said hmm anything is better that confirms (or increase my chance) that I can travel to my Home.

2:00pm I checked the flight status and to my surprise "the flight was on time"
I reached airport by 3:30pm for my flight at 5:50pm, and then I came to now that flight is late by 3:00hrs and schedule to depart at 8:45pm.... Due to "volcanic ash" it's route a longer way and I will have 1 hr of transit..!! I will have to sprint my way to catch the transit flight

Meanwhile i was in the line for checkin I met the same person from yesterday who was also travelling to Pune on the same flight, he to was rebooked with me....

I met a interesting lady yahead of me, she was 70yrs and was from Germany, and for next 2+ hours we were talking on:
- the place she visited in her last 3 India trip
- on Aganta Elora
- Jaipur and it's palaces + Gyatri Devi last princess of Jaipur
- Kolkata
- Delhi and the city itself
- Hydrabad
And I talked on
- my place in Pune
- how culture is different in Germany / India/ US
- family struture... Large family / Nuclear family

All this discussion was just interesting.
After all this talk now when I am sitting at the waiting area, I realize that I have not asked her name...

But I guess at time the people are to be remembered by the act and not just by name....

This time I hop to make to Pune....

Once again take 2 "Pune here I come"

Pune here I come...

This time I am travelling by Lufthansa, with a planned stop at Frankfurt (a fellow passenger told me that it's Munich and not Frankfurt)... One of the finest cities in Germany....

What I love is as your travelling days near all your friends and colleague start conversation with one question "So is the packing done"... And i say... Dude what there to pack... I feel any early u start packing the more permutation and combination u have, and still the chances are high that you are to miss something....

So my mantra.... Start with last minute packing... That's what I did... My flight is due to depart at 08:00pm and earliest I have to reach is by 05:00pm... I started to clean by bag and picking up things only at 01:00pm, and I next 20mins I was done... My friend dropped me to airport... And then I realized that I am traveling with the only pair of shoe that I am wearing, I missed to pick USB hard drive, my phone charger... That’s the list I am aware... And I bet it will grow further....

Waiting for checking I came to now a person who was visiting his son and is also heading to Pune... My flight is an hour late already I guess it's a good sign to start....

So Pune here I come......

Day and half to go!!!!

If u are staying away from your home and far away from your native country.... I guess and tine u plan a trip back home it has to be special or rather it becomes special....

I am travelling to Pune for a three week vacation, can say I am bit fortunate in my vacation planning as I get to stay in Pune for three week and still end up with only a week of vacation....

Homesickness intensifies more from the day you book your travel tickets; I have been counting days since then....

If you ask me why another trip in just 6 months... I would say now hmmmm... I better come up with a convincing answer... I say "will take a pass" and this would be the interesting part... "Would spell the beans once back" hahaha

Okay back to Pune trip, what all I am looking forward for... I am big time foodie so would love to eat at all street side cart... It's like you never now when I might get next opportunity to have all those...

Tomorrow by this time I would be busy scrambling to find or to search what all I have to carry and what I do not want to miss...

So probability the next post would be from "Amchi Pune"....

Friends.....

If any one counter to this words "Friend" it instantaneously run down in your mind a list of people who one count as friend, the one with whom you have grown / cherished / laughed crazily over time.

Friends play a key role in every ones life, they are the best source of building a persons characteristics. Many would have said, the way one today is all because of the better schooling my parents provided, the best tuition class that i enrolled, the best support I received from my college mentor and so on, i am not denying any of this, as all this people who we credit a lot are those who can understand and make your mind work in a certain way. But I would say that it’s your friends who can communication in a language that is only read by your heart.

And unless the proper combination between heart and mind is not their one will not achieve all what one aims over time.

We make friends in school, in your play area ground (specially for guys cricket is one of the bigger friend circle group), but as time passes by we tend to let loose the lightly tied knot with your friend and end you going up in separate path, but i can bet its just a matter of time to connect back with your old lost friends.

Its somewhat similar to like this, a kid will be learning more vocabulary in first 5 years of his life then compared to rest of life.

In the same way, i assume the number of friend we make during our teenage years and early adult hood would be more then the friend one will make over his life. Have you thought the reason why that be? hmmm something to think...

I assume as we grow older and get preoccupied in once professional life, personal meeting with friend is replaced with emails or rather phone talk.

I am fortunate to have 4 friends whom i can count more like my shadows, visible for other on a bright sunny day, but on a gloomy overcast day I now they are just around me, they or we need not prove some thing to other...

Back in our college days, we used to meet up every day (please who goes to college every day... its only to meet this bunch of friends u end up going to college), after 3 years in college 3 of us started working, other 2 took further higher studies, this did not reduce our meeting.
Every weekend we 5 used to go for long walk, and walk across all over Pradhikaran.

And its really sad that in last 4 years we 5 have never met together, we all might have planned many times, but either I am missing or some one else missing.

But we still manage to get hold of all in telephonic conference all once in a while.

And its truly said how can one be friends with out fighting, but its a different fun and time al together, and once again we all are planning big to meet all together some time in Nov.... i am just counting that we all make that up.

I am more fortunate, as many would say we have office best friends, most of the time you loose them as you change your path, but once in a while you end up meeting some special person, who will end up being your friend forever.

So it is better to say "Friends are for ever"
